Description
Impressive crystal of very dark smoky quartz, a mineral from the Talèfre glacier basin in the Mont Blanc massif, Chamonix, Haute Savoie.
This imposing ensemble is virtually intact (with the odd millimetric break) and buoyant. The underside of the crystal is scarred, with some partially crystallized brown siderite. Unusual!
