Quartz pseudomorphosis after cubic fluorite overlaid with red hematite with a beautiful presentation.

On the back, mamelinated hematite adds to the overall interest of the piece.

A mineral that belonged to Claude Guillemin (1923-1994), former curator of the Ecole des Mines de Paris collection, then director of BRGM, then of the Ecole des Mines collection itself.

This piece comes from deposits in Saxony, Germany.
