Description
Yellow legrandite crystals on ferrous gangue from the Ojuela mine in Mexico. Legrandite is a secondary zinc arsenate formed in the surface oxidation zone of zinciferous deposits, impregnated in limestones and more rarely in granitic pegmatites, where it is found alongside other oxidized zinc minerals (smithsonite, adamite, etc.). The Ojuela mine provided the best specimens.
