An interesting sample, presenting the rare mineral meneghinite embedded in a brilliant, transparent quartz crystal for easy viewing.
For your information, meneghinite, without the accent for its official international name, is a mineral species composed of sulfosalts of antimony, lead and copper, with the formula Pb13CuSb7S24.
This specimen was found in the combe d’Entre Deux Roches, not far from the Col de la Madeleine, in the Lauzière massif in Savoie.
