Oolitic limestone is a sedimentary rock composed of 0.5-2 mm spherules of calcite and aragonite.
Spherules >2mm are called pisolites. A piece from the collections of the Bally Mineralogical Museum in Schönenwerd, Switzerland, delivered with its antique label.
