Description

Good crystal of green peridot, a variety of forsterite, a mineral species from the well-known Sapat Gali deposit in northern Pakistan.
Partially gemmy, but intact.
The term “olivine” could also be used for this specimen, which is in fact the generic French name for all minerals in the forsterite – fayalite series.
