Description
La Vigas de Ramirez is located 20 km from the Veracruz state capital, Xalapa, in Mexico.
The famous amethysts of this great mineralogical locality do not come from La Vigas de Ramirez, but from small mines near the village of Piedra Parada.
This is an old specimen from the 1970s, and is one of the very first samples to come out.
Here the crystals are imposing, measuring up to 6 cm, the violet is intense, they are well arranged on the gangue, and give a mineralogical sample of the most beautiful effect.
