Chrysocolla on Quartz, Chile.

80,00

Ball-shaped green chrysocolla (a copper hydroxide silicate) overlaid with prismatic crystals of colorless quartz.
Supplied with two old handwritten labels, this mineral comes from Chile.
Copper deposits are abundant there.
The red-edged label is in the hand of Colonel Louis Vésigné (1870-1954), an amateur mineralogist who owned the world’s finest and most important private collection of his time, with almost 50,000 pieces from all over the world.
