An early specimen of beryl and garnet in pegmatite, found at Pointe de Combrit in Finistère, dating from 1933, from the Béhier collection and subsequently purchased by F. Barillet (1898-2003).
He was a chemical engineer and metallurgist for a major French company.
He traveled extensively throughout France as part of his profession and built up a systematic collection of several thousand mineralogical samples, with a predilection for Brittany.
