Description
A very fine specimen from the famous Rocher du Boeuf fluorite mine at L’Argentolle in Saint-Prix (Morvan).
The specimen shows two large galena crystals, the largest measuring 45 mm.
The latter is covered with pyromorphite and numerous bright-orange wulfenite crystals.
Finally, it is also topped by a few quartz crystals, traditional in this Morvan deposit.
A truly representative piece of the deposit, and a remarkable mineral species association for France, with the presence of wulfenite on pyromorphite.
