Fluorite and chalcopyrite from Argentolle, Saône-et-Loire, Morvan.

200,00

Rare specimen of yellow fluorite with chalcopyrite inclusions.
It comes from the famous Rocher du Boeuf mine at L’Argentolle in Saint-Prix, Saône-et-Loire, a mecca for Morvan mineralogy.
Fluorite cubes from this deposit are large (crystals up to 33 mm across) and yellow in color, while most samples are paler.
Numerous chalcopyrite flecks can be seen on the surface, as well as inside the fluorite crystals.
The base of this piece is also interesting: the fluorite has crystallized on a hematoid quartz generation that is clearly visible all around.
