Specimen naturally detached from the vein showing a large dodecahedron of violet fluorite (color visible on back) overlaid by an overcrystallization of translucent, brilliant microquartz.
It is one of several pieces unearthed at the Pont des Bouyges quarry in the commune of Moustier Ventadour, Corrèze, originally labelled by the discoverers as coming from Puy Saint Gulmier (Puy-de-Dôme).
