Piece composed of translucent, very slightly pink fluorite cubes and gray-white quartz crystals with shiny faces, from Langeac in Haute-Loire (Auvergne).
A few galena crystals are embedded in the quartz gangue at the back of the piece.
The Marsanges mines have long been known, but were particularly exploited for fluorite in the 1960s/1970s.
Once the veins were exhausted, the mines were closed.
