Description
A fine example of well-crystallized native bismuth from near Potosi, Bolivia.
Native bismuth is a fairly common, but often scarce, mineral found in silver and cobalt-bearing veins.
In France, several deposits exist, including the Meymac deposit in Corrèze, which yields mainly bismuthinite, and the Puy-les-Vignes deposit in Haute-Vienne, which has yielded samples of native bismuth.
