Description
Yellow adamite pompons on gangue from the Ojuela mine, Durango, Mexico.
Adamite is a mineral species composed of zinc arsenate, sometimes containing traces of copper and cobalt.
This mineral is dedicated to the French mineralogist Gilbert Joseph Adam, who provided the first samples discovered in 1866 in the Chañarcillo mine in Chile.
This is a classic sample from the Ojuela mine in Durago, Mexico.
