Description
Galena crystals in yellow fluorite, sometimes crystallized. A few perimorphoses of fine quartz crystals on fluorite are visible. Mineralogical specimen from the former mines and quarries of Corbigny, Nièvre department. A highly silicified mineralization, rich in fluorite and baryte, known as “assise de Chitry”, was mined here, with a thickness of 2 to 5 meters. Mines secured in the ’60s.
