Description
Here’s an interesting specimen showing well-colored, gemmy and brilliant axinite crystals, proving that the mineralogy of the Pyrenees, without equaling that of the Alps, produces samples that richly deserve a place in our showcases. Here, axinite is associated with albite, prehnite and quartz. These minerals come from Pêne Arrouye in Campan, Hautes-Pyrénées, and were found by collector Patrice Queneau.
