Description
Crystals of tetraedrite pseudomorphosed into blue azurite forming an intensely colored association, the original tetrahedral shape of the crystals is perfectly preserved.
Specimen from the classic Usclas du Bosc quarry deposit, near Loiras, in the Hérault department.
This deposit is a sporadically exploited quarry, well known for its mineralogical richness, notably for its very fine pieces of tetraedrite and sphalerite on dolomite. The pockets are frequently filled with hydrocarbons such as bitumen.
