A fairly well-crystallized, good-sized specimen of cassiterite (tin mineral). Discovered in the cassiterite quartz vein at Piriac (Piriac-sur-Mer) in the Loire Atlantique department.

Collected during BRGM (Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières) surveys in the 1950s. Ex Ridjisky collection.
