Description

An interesting floating specimen of galena and cerussite from the former Vallaury silver-lead mine in the Var department. The galena cubes are covered with micro-cerussites. Very little material of this type has ever been extracted, and the mine, which operated until 1929, is now secured and therefore inaccessible. Ex Dalmasso collection. A good association of an unusual deposit that will delight collectors of lead minerals in particular.
