Alabandite or alabandine is a rare manganese sulfide mineral.
It crystallizes in the cubic crystal system with the chemical composition Mn²⁺S and usually develops massive to granular aggregates, but also, albeit rarely, cubic or octahedral crystals up to 1 cm.
Associated here with rhodochrosite.
A very good and rare specimen from the René Hubin collection.
