These two large anatase crystals are completely transformed into golden rutile crystal fibers, and nicely arranged on a chlorite quartz tip. Both anatase and rutile are titanium dioxide with the chemical formula TiO2. This piece comes from Trou de la Fée, in the 2 Alpes ski resort in the Oisans region of Isère. It comes from the collection of crystal-maker Philippe Glastre and is numbered “PG 1093”. He collected the specimen in 1978.
