19th-century Azurite Chessylite variety, Chessy mine, Rhône.

1000,00

Here’s a magnificent old specimen dating from the 19th century, found during mining operations at Chessy, with large crystals of brilliant azurite. The main azurite crystal in the center is particularly large and well-formed, with complex crystallization typical of Chessy, and a beautiful midnight-blue color. The specimen contains some malachite. It is offered with its original handwritten label from a German mineral collection. A historic specimen, a great classic of French mineralogy, and a remarkable azurite from France, among the best available. Video of this azurite from the Chessy mine:
