Description
A classic of American copper mineralogy, the Bisbee mine in the Warren district has been mined for gold, silver and copper since 1880.
This is a coppery mass with a wide horizontal fault crystallized in azurite and malachite. The brilliant, multi-millimetre, midnight-blue crystals are reminiscent of the excellent specimens from Chessy-les-Mines (France).
The front and back of the sample show many crystals… a sample from Arizona, to discover at home…
