Description

Beautiful, well-defined beryl crystal from Orvault, northwest of Nantes in the Loire-Atlantique region.
The deposit corresponds to a zone of highly mineralized pegmatites with large sheets of white mica, feldspar and fetid gray quartz.
In addition to beryl, many other minerals are present, such as apatite, chalcopyrite, torbernite and wolframite, sometimes in complex associations.
