This specimen comes from the granites of the Spitzkopje Mountains, Erongo, Namibia.
This locality is renowned for its high-quality specimens. This specimen comes from the mineral collection of Deyrolle, a naturalist dealer in Paris, and is supplied with its original label, which dates from 1950/1970.
