Description
Here is a group of well-formed bournonite crystals of 3 X 2.5 cm, covered with yellow to brown bindheimite and green malachite, resting on a well-crystallized baryte booklet
Very nice mineralogy of the classical deposit of the Loiras quarry at Usclas du Bosc in the Hérault department.
This deposit is a sporadically exploited quarry, well known for its mineralogical richness, especially for its very beautiful tetrahedrites and sphalerites on dolomite. The pockets are curiously often filled with hydrocarbons such as bitumen.
