Description

A specimen showing bournonite crystals partially altered on the surface to azurite, malachite and bindheimite. They are associated with sphalerite (blende) crystals also partially coated with these oxidation products of bournonite. These minerals come from the Malines mine at Saint-Laurent-le-Minier in the Gard department. A fine little collector’s item, both technical and aesthetic.
