Description
With a very large mass and numerous brilliant olive-green bromargyrite crystals, this mineral is a silver bromide.
It is associated with another mineral species, covelline.
A superb and very rich old museum specimen.
The original labels still bear the mineral’s former name, bromyrite.
It was discovered at the Aconcagua mine (ex Bella Esperanza), Sierra Gorda District, Antofagasta Province, Antofagasta, Chile.
