Description
Buergerite, recently renamed fluor-buergerite, is the rarest of the tourmalines. Like the other minerals in the group, it forms short to elongated, strongly fluted prismatic crystals up to 4 cm in length, frequently in radiating groups. It is dark brown to black in color.
Specimen of buergerite crystals from San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
