Description

An excellent and extremely rare piece from the former La Mure coal mine in the Dauphiné, now closed forever. Canizzarite selenium forms at the expense of galena and encrusting it. Also noteworthy here is a good association with pretty crystals of brilliant bournonite, large petals of green siderite, a large crystal of tetrahedrite, also extremely brilliant, and galena. Exceptional alpine mineralogy! And a remarkable specimen of French mineralogy.
