Description

Cannizzarite is a rare mineral containing lead, bismuth and sulfur, whose typical locality is the island of Vulcano in the Aeolian Islands (Sicily, Italy).
Here, the mineral is well protected in the geode at the center of the piece, which is also composed of tetrahedrite, siderite and quartz crystals.
This extremely rare specimen from the former La Mure coal mine in Isère is representative of exceptional Alpine mineralogy!
Prospective buyers should pay particular attention to the small siderite booklet at the entrance to the geode, which wobbles slightly between two adjacent quartz points.
