Cassiterite crystal interesting both from a mineralogical and historical point of view, coming from the Villeder tin mine in Morbihan, mainly exploited in the 19th century.

The cassiterite crystal is chestnut brown, of good size and brilliance, and the edges are almost intact.

This specimen is from the Mouret collection, from Marseille, a collection of minerals from the 1940’s/1970’s where most of the pieces came from the naturalist dealer Deyrolle in Paris.
