Description
Superb crystal of cerussite, a lead carbonate, automorphic and very bright, partially covered with small crystals of cerussite and calamine (zinc and iron oxide). A cerussite specimen from the M’Fouati mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Excellent for the locality, and a historic specimen to boot.
Specimen of the collection of the naturalist merchant Deyrolle, of Paris, provided with box and label of origin (XIXth century).
