Chalcocite is a copper sulfide and is one of the main ores of copper.
Today mostly abandoned, the silver and copper mines of Butte allowed the city to develop and to know its “golden age” at the beginning of the 20th century, the Anaconda Copper being the first world producer of copper during a decade.
