Specimen of green erinite and bayldonite on quartz from the La Verrière mine in Les Ardillats, Rhône department.

The word erinite is no longer used; it can refer to three different mineral species: spessartine, chalcophyllite or cornwallite. This specimen is a priori cornwallite.
Erinite, a word derived from Erin (Ireland).
A very good specimen for this locality.
