Ferroaxinite (Axinite), Bourg d’Oisans, Oisans, Isère.

65,00

Two specimens of perfectly automorphic, brilliant axinite crystals (ferrous pole) on a clear gangue. Axinite is one of the most famous minerals of the Oisans massif in the Isère department. These come from the commune of Bourg d’Oisans, and more precisely from the hamlet of Le Plan. They probably come from the Rochers d’Armentiers just above.

Specimen from the Hubin collection in Neupré, Belgium.
