Description
Large octahedron (~10cm) of deformed blue to violet fluorite cleavage.
In the 1960s and 1970s, numerous fluorite samples were found in the Boltry quarry in Seilles, Belgium, near Andenne.
The exterior is generally corroded by hydrothermal liquids. These dissolved fluorite masses come in a wide variety of colors, predominantly mauve, but there are also pieces of green, blue, red and colorless fluorite at Seilles.
