Octahedral pink fluorite on calcite from the Austrian Alps. The octahedron isn’t perfect: it’s incomplete at the back and the apex is truncated.
Nevertheless, it’s a lovely little piece with its contrasting colors, and a historic one at that, coming as it does from the famous former Deyrolle dealer in Paris (original label and box supplied).
