Description
Cubic yellow fluorite crystals associated with good sphalerite (or blende) crystals and a little quartz, minerals from the 8th level of the Peyrebrune mine, Tarn department, France.
Specimen given by Sub-Lieutenant Contri on February 26, 1962.
The old Peyrebrune fluorite mine, now inaccessible, is located next to the present-day Rivet quarry, which still intersects a few rare fluorite and sulfide veins.
