Description
Beautiful violet to green and sometimes bluish fluorite with completely melted faces. Very aesthetic.
In the 1960s and 1970s, numerous mineralogical specimens of fluorite were found in the Boltry quarry at Seilles in Belgium, near Andenne.
The exterior is usually corroded (as is the case here) by hydrothermal liquids. These masses of dissolved fluorite come in a wide variety of colors: predominantly mauve, but there are also pieces of green, blue, red and colorless fluorite at Seilles, making them fascinating collectors’ items, even suitable for cutting.
