Description
These pieces of blue fluorite from Auvergne’s Beix mine which are among the most popular with collectors!
This airy group features crystals up to 30 mm across.
Some cleavage on the fluorite cubes, as is very often the case with specimens from this locality, as they were most often extracted and then brought up from the mine by the miners quickly and discreetly without the knowledge of the Management, who forbade the miners to waste their time collecting minerals.
Le Beix is one of France’s most famous localities for all minerals, located in the commune of Saint-Germain-près-Herment in the Puy-de-Dôme department.
