Beautiful set of elongated black brannerite crystals, a mineral species associated with fine golden crystals of native gold in a predominantly quartz (smoky) gangue. These two minerals are often combined.

Such masses of brannerite crystals, combined with gold, are not common in the Alps. Discovered around 2013 in the north of the Grandes Rousses massif, on the Savoie side. Here’s a video of these brannerite crystals and gold native to Savoie:
