Description

Ilvaite is a calcium-iron sorosilicate.
It consists of a set of large, prismatic crystals with striated faces, on which a second generation of small crystals has developed.
Specimen from Boron Quarry, Dalnegorsk, Siberia (Russia). Very high quality piece discovered in 2004.
