Somewhat ribboned and crystallized limonite specimens, yellow to black in color, from the Lanzi mines in Campiglia Marittima, Tuscany, Italy.
Several mining complexes have been exploited in the Lanzi valley since the 10th century.
Among them, the Lanzi mine, consisting of tunnels and extraction shafts, rich in lead, silver and zinc, was exploited between the 19th and 20th centuries.
