Description
Aggregate of more or less regular rhombohedrons of rhodochrosite, typical of the deposit in its reddish-brown hue.
This good-sized, fully crystallized specimen features numerous prismatic crystals of waxy pale-green elpidite (Na2ZrSi6O15 – 3H2O), as well as other minerals that can be observed with a magnifying glass.
It comes from Poudrette quarry, Mont Saint-Hilaire, La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Minerals Canada.
