Description

Remarkable ruby corundum crystal on gangue from Mysore in the state of Karnataka, India. The main crystal is red to purple in color, with a beautiful adamantine to vitreous luster, prismatically hexagonal with truncations. The gangue consists mainly of black biotite crystals.
