Description
A lovely little floating specimen, showing a light yellow-brown stolzite crystal.
Stolzite, a lead tungstate, is an unusual mineral.
It was discovered at the Sainte Lucie mine in St Léger de Peyre, Lozère, the best known specimens of the species, both in size (up to 7 cm!) and aesthetics.
The specimen shown here comes with its 3.2 cm square base.
