Description
A lovely little floating specimen, showing a light yellow-brown stolzite crystal.
An unusual mineral, stolzite is a lead tungstate.
It was discovered at the Sainte Lucie mine at Saint Léger de Peyre in Lozère (France), which has yielded the best known specimens of this mineral species, both in size (up to 7 cm!) and aesthetics.
The specimen shown here comes with its 3.2 cm square base.
