Description
Polished slice (on both sides) of variscite (green) and wardite (yellow) from Clay Canyon in Utah, USA.
The variscite occurs in nodules on this deposit and is surrounded by wardite, a sodium aluminum phosphate. The nodules are cut into slices which are then polished.
Clay Canyon is a typical wardite community.
Specimen from the E.D. Over and Arthur Montgomery collections.
